Named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, the charming town of Portovenere is one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Italy. Portovenere has been inspired by poets and authors alike and its no surprise that this area of Liguria is rightfully known as the Gulf of Poets.
