I love sharing about small businesses that are based in Italy and what’s even better when its a business focused on coffee! Caffè Tramoni is a brand I recently started using at home and cannot recommend it enough! Nespresso compatibile pods and smooth espresso for the Moka pot are two essentials, right? Tramoni offers them in different flavors, each named after a different Italian city. What’s best is that Tramoni ships worldwide so my husband and I love that even more! Today, Anthony from Tramoni shares the story of his coffee and company “Caffè Tramoni” which is truly a Milanese luxury coffee brand.
Caffè Tramoni – A Milanese Luxury Coffee Brand
1. Ciao Anthony and welcome to Italophilia!! Tell me a little about yourself??
Ciao Ishita! Thanks for having me here. I have lived in various places around Europe – Italy, France, Holland and UK. The brand Tramoni is a Milanese luxury coffee brand for the coffee aficionados!
2. Why Coffee?? How and when did the idea of Tramoni culminate??
Tramoni actually culminated during my students days, way back in 1999. I was studying at the University of Venice at the time. I loved and lived on coffee especially because at the time I needed it for writing dissertations and assignments. Also, I was studying history of economics so as you can imagine.. I needed lots of coffee 😉
I found cafes served ‘ordinary’ coffee and thought that coffee beans that they used could have been roasted better. I often felt they could have a better flavour. That’s how it all started!!
Thanks to the chef Alessia Loretelli for the nice videoclip of our Coffee with her Tiramisu Bakery.

Have you tried Tiramisu? you should!🙂🥧☕#tiramisu #caffe #tramoni #italia pic.twitter.com/NJQqywoh6b
3. Where do you source Tramoni coffee from??
I get my coffee beans from Latin America. Tramoni coffee blends is actually a secret recipe- a bit like the coca-cola recipe. I cannot divulge the actual mix, but it tastes amazing as you know now for sure!
4. Pick 2-3 places in Italy that make the best coffee??
Milan, Rome and Naples are the best places for coffee in Italy! Also remember that the coffee gets stronger the further south you go in Italy.
5. Right, I agree. Is there such a thing as bad coffee though? What do you have to say about that?
Yes there is! Supermarket coffee is made of ordinary beans and therefore bad coffee.
On the other hand, Gourmet coffee is amazing and is on another level. It is like drinking a glass of red wine, first a normal cabernet sauvignon then trying the cabernet sauvignon by Chateau Margaux. Furthermore, when you drink gourmet coffee, the ‘ordinary’ coffee doesn’t do it for you anymore.
5. Thanks for sharing, Anthony. How can we be a part of the Tramoni community??
Anyone interested in following Tramoni is very welcome! We are on Twitter and Instagram where we post almost regularly. Additonally, we have a Facebook page. We ship worldwide so please feel free to write to us: info (AT) tramoni.com!
Check out this fun video I made while trying Tramoni!
And just in case you’re wondering, my favorite Tramoni espresso flavor is Napoli 😉

December 16, 2020 at 12:26 amI enjoy all the photos of coffee and I love the smell, but I don’t like the taste of coffee, itself! It’s such a fascinating culture that I have to just look on from the outside.
